Hi guys! When you’re reading this I’ll be chilling somewhere in France! Anyways, I’m definitely more of a drugstore and midrange makeup kind of girl than a high end girl, but of course I still have a wish list of high(ish) end beauty products that I’d love to try. I just have to summon up the courage to actually buy some of them haha! Below I’m sharing them with you guys. I realise that there’s several products of the same brands on there, but that’s just because I really like those brands and want to try more of their products. ;)
1. Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer
This Hourglass primer is quite a cult product, and is supposed to be a great pore filling primer that’ll smoothe out your skin and make your makeup last longer without being overly siliconey. It’s an astonishingly expensive primer though (in my opinion anyway), the little 8,9ml trial size alone costs $19,00 (ca. €16,50)!
2. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in ”Plath”
Even though the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks aren’t my absolute favourite liquid lipstick formula, I still like them, and there’s several colours I’d love to try! The one’s that are on the top of my list at the moment are ”Plath”, ”Ludwig”, ”Woolf” and ”Ayesha”.
3. theBalm Shadow/Blush in ”Cabana Boy”
Apparently most (if not all) of the blushes by theBalm are very good, so I have several of them on my wishlist. One of them is ”Cabana Boy”, which is a gorgeous mauve pink colour with a slight sheen. I think it’d look lovely in the winter for that ”flushed cheeks” kind of look, but it’d also be great for a glowy look in the summer.
4. Kat Von D Everlasting Lipliner in ”Lovecraft”
I’ve seen quite few positive reviews about the new(ish) Kat Von D Everlasting Lipliners, so I definitely want to try some of them. ”Lovecraft” is on top of my list. Judging from the Studded Kiss Lipstick in the same colour (which I own) it’ll be a gorgeous colour that’ll go with a bunch of my lipsticks.
5. Kat Von D Lock It Concealer Creme in ”Light 5”
This Kat Von D product is loved by a lot of people too! I’m always looking for concealers that’ll somewhat cover my red patches and dark undereye circles, and this seems to be a good candidate. I’m a bit worried that it’ll be a bit too thick/cakey under my eyes though.
6. theBalm Pick Up Liner in ”Chemistry”
Another line of lipliners that’s supposed to be really good: the Pick Up Liners by theBalm. Apparently they’re really creamy, but once they set they’ll stay on your lips through a hurricane. I’m definitely going to try these in the near future!
7. Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder
My Catrice Prime And Fine Mattifying powder is starting to run out, and because I’d like to try a different powder I’ve already been looking around for a new pore blurring powder. This Too Faced powder is at least four times the price of the Catrice one, but apparently it’s very good (it better be for that price!).
8. theBalm Even Steven Whipped Foundation in ”Lighter Than Light”
Another theBalm product I really want to try, though it might not be a great option for me haha! I’m not much of a full coverage foundation wearer, and this foundation apparently has a lot of coverage. But something tells me that if I apply a very small amount with a sponge it could look really nice and not too cakey. We’ll see!
9. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in ”Seduce”
I already own one of the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes (in the colour ”Celebrated”, which isn’t sold at Sephora anymore *cries*) and I love it! It has great pigmentation and stays on your face for a long time, so I definitely want to try more colours!
10. Bite Beauty Multistick in ”Cashew”
I’ve seen the Bite Beauty Multisticks in action several times while watching YouTube, and they started to intrigue me more and more. I’m not makeup artist status at all when applying makeup, so I don’t know if I can apply these Multisticks in a way that looks good, but I’m going to try at some point haha!
11. Kat Von D Lock It Makeup Setting Mist
The last Kat Von D product in this post: the Lock It Setting Mist. I can always use a good setting spray, because my foundation often looks a bit powdery because of my dry skin, and on top of that I get #sweatface quite easily so I can definitely use something that’ll help my makeup stay on a bit longer. Luckily KVD sells a trial size of this spray, so you can try it out.
12. Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette
This palette has been on my wish list for a looong time, but I never end up buying it because even though I love the colours I’m not sure how often I’m going to wear some of them. If it were an inexpensive palette I wouldn’t think about it for this long, but seen as this is a $49,00/€47,00 palette it’s a different story.
Which high end makeup products are on your wish list?
